Elementary schools Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Wilson and Washington held food drives that raised more than 5600 lbs of food goods. That’s almost 3 tons!
More than 2 tons more food goods were received during the CPKC Christmas train event! We thank the Girl Scouts for helping receive the goods.
In addition to the food goods, cash donations of $3562 plus $7000 from CPKC were received.Â

The CPKC Holiday train raises money, food and awareness for the important work that food banks do in their communities. Since 1999, more than $22 million has been raised and 5 million pounds of food collected for food banks in Canada and the U.S.
The train will be visiting Wauwatosa Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 4:45 pm. Attendees are encouraged to donate non-perishable food and personal care items. Tosa Cares will have donation sites at the East and West sides of the train, at Metcalfe Market 6700 W State St, at City Hall 7725 W North Ave, at Pick 'n Save 1717 N Mayfair Rd and at Mt Zion Lutheran Church 12012 W North Ave.
As part of Froedtert Hospital Community Engagement Program to celebrate the International Day of the Girl, October 11, 2024, volunteers visited Tosa Cares and prepared food boxes and clothing room items.
